Play system repair
A wooden play system can often be made solid again without replacing the whole thing. I repair worn boards, steps, railings, platforms and structural connections so you can get more safe years out of it.
Problems we fix
- Soft or rotted platform boards
- Loose railings and handholds
- Split steps and ladder rungs
- Wobbly posts or framing
- Rusted or missing hardware
- Weathered roofs, trim and wood panels
Repair or replace?
If the main posts and framing are sound, individual boards, steps, rails and hardware can usually be replaced.
If several structural posts are deeply rotted or the entire frame moves under load, replacement may be the safer choice. I'll tell you straight after I inspect it.

Questions
- Can you repair an older wooden play system?
- Usually. The condition of the main posts and framing matters more than its age.
- Can you replace just the damaged parts?
- Yes. I replace the failed wood and hardware while leaving solid sections in place.
- Do you assemble new play systems?
- My focus is repairing existing wooden play systems rather than assembling new kits.
