Fence repair

A leaning fence usually means one or two rotted posts, not a new fence. I replace posts, pickets, rails and gate hardware and leave the good sections alone.

Problems we fix

  • Leaning or rotted posts
  • Broken or missing pickets
  • Sagging or dragging gates
  • Frost-heaved sections
  • Storm damage
  • Rotted rails

Repair or replace?

If most posts are sound, I replace the bad ones and re-hang the sections.

If more than half the posts are rotted at the soil line, a new fence may be the better money.

Questions

Can you match my existing fence?
Usually close. New wood takes a season to weather to match.
Do you fix gates only?
Yes — sagging gates are one of the most common small jobs.

Three photos and a zip code.
